My Father,

I stand before you completely exposed, for nothing escapes your notice. I long for my entire being to be flooded with light – the light of Your dear Son. Cleanse and refresh every dark corner of my mind, heart, and soul. As the cockroaches scatter when the light is revealed, let everything in me that doesn’t spring from your love be obliterated by your power and by your grace.

Search me, Oh God, and know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.*
