The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. 2 Chronicles 16:9

I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish that you were one or the other! But since you are like lukewarm water, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth! Revelations 3:15,16

What does it mean to be fully committed to the Lord? There are no part-time shifts in the Kingdom. It is all or nothing. It’s not a weekend gig. Either He is Lord, or I am.

Ironically, Exodus 24:7 reminds us to be 24/7 followers: “All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient.”

No matter what it costs me to obey, it costs far more to miss his best. To neglect His Word, to reject His call is too high a price to pay, sacrificing great joy, an excellent life, His healing presence, His provision for our needs, and a life that is full – void of emptiness.

We are 24/7 followers or followers not at all.

Father,

I commit myself to relationship with You, to live for You, to live with You, to live a life of devotion to You and love towards all people in my life, friend or foe. I commit myself to read Your Word with ears to hear how you want to change me. Reveal my blind spots, unleash my potential, grant me my destiny, and forgive all my errors and pride. Make me a 24/7 believer.

In Jesus’ Name Amen
