When we see God as He truly is, His goodness begins to manifest in surprising ways in our day to day life. It’s possible – and a tragic mistake – to attribute God’s intervention in our lives to coincidence. If we ask God to open our eyes, we can find miracles every day.

Yesterday I was helping a dear friend move out of a troubling situation to a place of safety. When I arrived at her house I realized the van wasn’t going to be able to pull into her driveway because of the snow. I grabbed her shovel and started in. The snow was about 6” deep, and I soon realized that this job was going to take several hours, and I wasn’t sure if I could get it done before the van arrived.

I prayed a plain and simple prayer: “Lord, I need some help.”

I looked up a moment later and there was a man standing across the street. He seemingly appeared out of no where with a plow on his pick up. I hollered to him, “Hey, would you be available to plow this driveway?” Moments later it was done.

God is good! All the time!

Father,

I need some help here! I trust in you today to demonstrate your awesome power and love for me in practical ways. You know I can’t make it without you. Open my eyes to see you at work! Please don’t let me be blind to your kindness manifested in small and large ways. I give you praise in advance for showing me that You are smiling on me today. The challenges I am facing today, I do not face alone! I face them with the King of Kings, the Creator of the universe who loves me and gave Himself up for me. Thank you! My heart will rejoice in you and give you praise today even before the miracles start flowing!
