Daniele and Kalia keep extra close eyes on the House

Kalia now reigns as the Head of Household as she considers who to nominate for eviction. With Daniele firmly in her camp (and often in her HoH room!), the three other veterans are reeling, especially since they’re all in the Have Not room this week. How quickly the tide can turn! Kalia is lettin’ it get to her head as she dances and throws kisses to the divine forces in the sky.

While Kalia and Daniele revel in Kalia’s HoH victory, Rachel is in the padded psychiatric cell Have Not room, sobbing under the covers. Jordan drops in to comfort her and get her spirits up. Porsche also drops in and then leaves, and then Brendon drops in. They’re whispering that Porsche can’t be trusted and not to reveal any information they have to her. From the Diary Room, Jeff reminds us that Julie told us there’d be a new twist such that whoever is eliminated this week can battle back to stay in the game.

Kalia calls everyone to join her in the newly decorated HoH room. Kalia breaks down into tears as she sees her family pictures. Jeff likens it to walking into “a morgue”. Shelly is touched, on the verge of tears in the Diary Room, as she misses her family too. Daniele hangs out a lot with Kalia in the HoH room. Rachel later drops in and Daniele gives her a not so welcome look and then leaves, allowing Rachel to talk privately with Kalia. Rachel, wine glass in hand, that she’s a competitor and has “competitive respect” for Kalia. Well, duh, kiss up to the HoH! Kalia is loving every minute of it.

Later on, Shelly and Kalia have a bit of a lady and family talk, more on the personal side of things. Shelly has managed to stay in everyone’s good graces simply by being a good listener. In another development, Adam is finally free of his elf costume and he makes quite a show of disrobing it. In a prank, Shelly sneaks under Kalia on the hammock (cue Jaws background music) and surprises her, leading to laughs from everybody in the back yard.

With nominations coming up soon, Daniele and Kalia discuss strategy. Daniele sees an opportunity to play out her game “without having to get my hands bloody”. True, that, but everyone is aware that Daniele is the acting vizier and lady-in-waiting to Queen Kalia, whispering in her ear.

Now Kalia declares that it’s time for the Have & Have Not competition. Oh, dear, you do not want to play Big Brother drinking games with these contents! The House guests are split into red and blue teams. Each team member takes three ingredients and blends them up into a mixed drink. The opposing team member has to guess what ingredients are in the drink. Whoever guesses the most ingredients correctly wins. If they tie in counting the number of correct ingredients, they have to pour a glass and chug the contents, with whoever finishes their drink first being the winner. And the mixes they make up are vomit worthy… ewww! Blech. The reds win, leaving the blue team of Shelly, Rachel, Jordan and Jeff as the Have Nots for the week. Which means eating catfish and coconuts instead of the usual House fare. Poor veterans — again.

Jordan is still upset at losing the Have Not competition, putting herself, Jeff and the other two on a restricted diet for the week. She’s frustrated that the others “just floating by” aren’t feeling the pain of being deprived of a decent meal. Night falls, and Kalia invites Shelly upstairs, with the eviction nominations still to be decided. Shelly swings a deal with Kalia where the two of them and Daniele try to get to the final three together. Shelly has already made this deal with Jeff and Jordan, so now by her reckoning she’s got a deal “on the other side”.

Jeff and Jordan then meet with Kalia and put pressure on her not to nominate either of them, or (making a not so subtle threat) Kalia will have more people after her as she “puts a target on herself”. Jeff and Jordan really don’t offer Kalia anything other than to make a threat, which leads to a few sharp words and no deal. Kalia’s a bit upset by this, crying in the Diary Room.

Now, it’s time for Kalia to make her eviction nominations. The veterans are still defiant, which is probably not a good strategy to employ against someone like Kalia, who will not be browbeaten. Just before the ceremony, Rachel scoots close to Daniele and Daniele tells her to buzz off and not touch her. Adam is the first one to be safe, followed by Porsche, Daniele, Jordan (surprise?), Lawon and lastly, Shelly. Rachel and Jeff are on the block! Rachel goes after Daniele instead of Kalia, telling Daniele “God, you’re such an idiot!” Takes one to call one, they say.

Next episode, who will win the Power of Veto to possibly remove either Rachel or Jeff from the eviction block? Stay tuned!
