Sorry, sister, one of us has to go. Kalia and Daniele are up for eviction.

It’s time for this week’s house eviction vote and Julie Chen reminds us that the house guests have no idea that an additional guest will be sent packing “before the hour is up” in this Double Eviction episode. We get a recap of events and talk leading up to Daniele joining Kalia on the chopping block. It’s Day 52 with a quick-time night coming up with one eviction vote and the whole process of a second eviction.

Daniele tells us in diary room that, with Porsche already on her side, she needs to get Shelly and Adam on her side. She doesn’t see any chances with Jordan and Rachel. Daniele talks with Shelly and gets Shelly to agree to vote in her favor and in return Daniele will “never nominate you, ever”. Shelly knows that she’ll go nowhere “getting zip” if she goes with the Jeff/Jordan/Rachel alliance.

Shelly then works on Adam, who becomes the crucial swing vote. Adam is reluctant to let go of his relationship with Jeff and Jordan and doesn’t see that he’s just a passenger who would eventually get dumped in the Jeff/Jordan/Rachel alliance if and when it comes down to the final three. Shelly then reports to Daniele the outcome of her talk with Adam. Daniele knows that Adam doesn’t trust her (he told her this outright earlier). Daniele is still one vote short of avoiding eviction.

Adam and Jeff are also in the back yard with Rachel looking on, with Adam practicing balancing a ball on a curvy platform. With Adam no longer a possibility, Shelly approaches Rachel. Shelly informs Rachel that Jeff threw the earlier veto competition that Adam won last week. Rachel goes and sees Daniele and for once they’re talking. Daniele is trying to get Rachel to vote for her and Rachel tells Daniele that “If I did that, you couldn’t tell anyone”. “Who’d a thunk?” Daniele says in diary room describing it as “a deal with the devil.”

Julie informs the house guests that tonight is double eviction night and two house guests will be leaving tonight. Daniele is the first to give a speech about why she should not be evicted. It turns out to be a pretty long speech. Kalia, on the other hand, keeps it as short as possible, “Vote for me!”

And here goes the votes… Jordan votes to evict Daniele. Porsche votes to evict Kalia. Shelly votes to evict Kalia. It’s 2-1 Kalia. Rachel and Adam both vote to evict Daniele and she is voted out 3-2. Alas, all her efforts to sway Adam or Rachel to vote in her favor were for naught.

Daniele is welcomed into the audience by Julie amidst a loud round of applause. Julie asks why Daniele took risks earlier when it looked like she was going “to coast” through the game. Daniele says she was just in it to play the game, adding that Adam is the worst player to play the game and he was dumb not to vote in her favor.

The goodbye speeches come next with Shelly saying she was impressed with Daniele, Jeff saying he wished they could have worked together but he could not trust her, Kalia gives a tearful farewell, and Rachel says she “could care less about your stupid jury vote” and calls Daniele “a horrible bitch.”

Now for Act II.

We’re in for another eviction tonight. First comes the next Head of Household competition. It’s “Before or After” where the house guests have to say whether one event occurred before or after another event. Adam is first out in round 2. Round 3 sees Porsche, Rachel and Shelly drop out. Kalia and Jordan are left and Kalia wins the HoH competition in round 4! Jeff, Jordan and Rachel suddenly look glum. And for good reason, as we’ll soon find out.

Kalia must immediately name two housemates as nominees for eviction. Without much in the way of reasoning, saying “I’m going to stick to my word”, Kalia nominates Jeff and Rachel. No surprise there.

Next is the Power of Veto competition. Porsche, Shelly and Adam as random draws join Kalia and the two eviction nominess Jeff and Rachel to compete in the PoV competition. The PoV competition is called “Clowning Around”. They will search for two yellow clown shoes buried under a box filled with a bunch of plastic balls and can only do them one at a time. Everyone finds their first shoe, but Porsche quickly finds her second shoe, grabs the PoV symbol and hits the buzzer. Porsche wins the PoV competition.

Porsche has a few minutes to decide whether to use the Power of Veto and, if so, who to remove from the block. Shelly and Kalia are glad to see Porsche win, while Jeff looks very exasperated and Rachel looking too scared to even talk. The results of the last two competitions went against the alliance Jeff, Jordan, Rachel and Adam and now it’s a time of reckoning for one of them.

Shelly is talking with Porsche, both looking happy as everyone grabs a seat for the PoV ceremony. First, Rachel and Jeff have a chance to give a speech, starting with Rachel. Rachel gives a half-hearted speech and Jeff says “my actions speak for themselves”. Jordan looks terrified. Porsche says that she decides not to use the veto. Rachel and Jeff remain on the block.

House guests are allowed a few moments to mill around in the kitchen and elsewhere and then they gather once again. Again, Rachel and Jeff give their speeches about why they should remain. Rachel gives a another so-so short speech, while Jeff gives another lengthy one. “It’s simple. Adam, you’re my boy”, he tells Adam and then tells Shelly “…let’s make amends. Respect me and respect Jordan.” Jordan is on the verge of tears.

Now it’s time to vote… Jordan obviously votes to evict Rachel, Porsche votes to evict Jeff, and Adam, still in indecision, decides to evict Rachel. Shelly then walks in and votes to evict Jeff. It’s a 2-2 tie. As HoH, Kalia gets the tie-breaking vote. “I’m really, really sorry, I think you’re awesome, I think you’re great at this game and I think you have the absolute ability to win it, so that’s why I have to evict you, Jeff. I’m sorry.” Boom! With great power also comes great falls, Jeff.

Jeff walks out and greets Julie with a hug. Meanwhile, Jordan is in tears and Rachel is the only one to console her. Shelly is on the verge of tears, too, as she sees the two ladies upset. Jordan and Kalia aren’t jumping up and down cheering, but have a serious “business is business” look on their face. We return to Jeff with him saying, “I’m the only one who did anything in this game and I had to step up and do something… people looked at me as a leader in there.” He’s going out swinging!

We leave with Jordan in tears, Rachel crying with her, and the rest of the house milling around, except for Shelly who’s crying with Kalia consoling her. No farewell speeches from the house guests time around.

The only two real leaders in the house at the beginning of the day are now gone.

Big Brother can be a cruel sibling.
