It’s late on Friday night and I’ve just arrived back home in Monument. It was a great trip to Chattanooga and I met quite a few new friends who all have tremendous hearts for the poor. One particular highlight was a late night talk with some great students from Covenant College who had many questions about orphans, how to begin a ministry career, and leadership. I also spent all day at The Maclellan Foundation with Daryl Heald of Generous Giving. A great time of vision and strategy about how we can rely make an impact in extreme poverty and the lives of orphans.

There are three families hosting Ethiopian orphans for the school year I was able to meet with. This is a great program started by my friend, Lyston Peebles, where these kids come to spend 11th grade here in the states. If you’re interested in hosting an Ethiopian young person next year, please let me know.

We have four soccer games tomorrow with our kids. Then, I’m preparing to head out to Russia on Thursday. I’m hoping to blog quite a bit from there so you can here about what’s happening with many of our programs, reports on our kids, and notes from our staff. Have a great weekend everyone!
