As a father of seven, I know how challenging it can be to keep your kids inspired and focused on something greater than themselves. There are so many competing voices in our culture pulling them in a million different directions. As a parent or mentor, what can you do to help guide them spiritually?

One of the most incredible programs I know of is called The World Race. The World Race is a Christian mission trip that travels to
11 countries in 11 months. Participants live out of a backpack, survive on a
limited budget, and find themselves in situations where faith is the only
reality to choose from. In partnering with existing missionaries and
ministries, World Racers develop relationships with the “least of these”, and
through acts of service see communities and nations transformed all over the
world.

I helped to launch and train the very first group of World Racers with my friends Seth BarnesAndrew Shearman and Gary Black. This week I’m in Georgia helping to train several hundred Racers who are ready to take on the world and follow Jesus into some of the poorest places on earth.
Go to the website, check out the videos, and see what God is doing through this amazing ministry. Then if you’re 21 or older, or know someone who is, encourage them to explore this opportunity. This I can promise, after the World Race, you’ll never be the same again.
