Back in July, I was invited to attend a roundtable event hosted by UNICEF. Recognizing the ever-increasing role of faith-based-organizations in responding to the global orphan crisis, UNICEF reached out to several leading Christian organizations–including Children’s HopeChest–to participate in this dialogue.

Today, we’ll gather together to share ideas, best practices, and our collective energy and passion for orphan care.

Individuals from World Vision and the Christian Alliance for Orphans are among some of the invited guests.

I’m honored to represent HopeChest, and would pray that from this meeting we can extend and improve orphan care to the millions of children who are without parents in our world.

I will report back next week on some of the progress we’ve made together as leaders.
