This Christmas, people from around the country are joining Change Their Story–a Christmas campaign that empowers you with an easy, simple, and effective way to raise money to benefit orphans.

I wanted to feature some of those people, and today I want you to meet Hannah Eloge, one of the staff members at Children’s HopeChest who is raising $500 to provide a quality education for orphans in Africa.

Hannah in Africa

Hannah wrote on her page:

Last year I had the opportunity to go to Swaziland to work with children as they wrote short stories and poems about education and why it is important to them.  I quickly realized that education in Swaziland is a treasure, and a gift only some receive. Many children painful stories about losing a parent and how they were no longer able to attend school.   All of the children would tell me how an education is the only they can be released from the tight grasp of extreme poverty that was all around them.  Education gave these children hope and without an education they were scared for what their lives may look like.

We have so much here that we can share and this Christmas I want to ask you for your support. Would you share some of your Christmas with these kids?

Hannah even produced her own video, which you can see here. She took all the photos you see in this video.

I think Hannah is spot-on.  Education is one of the greatest defenses against poverty.

Whenever I have talked to our kids and the caregivers in our African CarePoints, they stress the urgency and importance of education. Because without it, they know they will never escape poverty’s grip.

Hannah has set a goal to raise $500. I’d like you to help her blow that away! Visit her personal page and make a gift on her behalf today.
