You’ve probably heard that 1 billion people lack access to clean water. But like all statistics, they lack a certain perspective. Statistics can de-humanize a problem, hurling it into the realm of mathematics and numbers.

This short student film does an excellent job of humanizing the world water crisis through its creative use of alternating perspectives–and claymation / stop-motion animation.

Refresh is a student produced, directed, and created film that has won numerous awards since being released.

Right now, almost 1 billion people lack access to safe, clean drinking water. “Refresh” urges us to do something about it.
