Today, I’m leaving for Haiti with a few of my good friends, Jon Egan who is the lead singer for the Desperation Band and Meredith Andrews a popular Christian singer. What do we all have in common? We love orphans.

We’ll be flying into the Dominican Republic then driving across the border to visit several orphanages in the outlying areas of the country. Haiti is riddled with riots and a cholera outbreak right now where many people are dying. Mobs are even killing people including Voodoo priests because they believe they are responsible for the outbreak.
I will be touring with Jon and the Desperation Band this spring and summer on an, “I Am Free” Tour that will entirely focused on orphans and human trafficking. We’ll be gathering a ton of video footage on this trip that we’ll use in throughout the show. This event is going to be an amazing concert to attend for those who love orphans, care for the oppressed and want to see the captive set free. More to come on cities in the coming weeks.
Children’s HopeChest is also looking to partner with Meredith, since she has such a heart for the kids in Haiti and this one particular orphanage we’ll be visiting.
We’d love your prayers as we travel. For those who are interested, you can pray as we travel by reading or downloading our itinerary here: Haiti Itinerary for Jan[1].doc.
Take care all. I’ll post video and blogs as I’m able. Thanks for praying for us and for Haiti!
