In case you live in a bubble and haven’t heard, the Oscars were announced today. I wonder how many people are like me and have only seen a few of the movies nominated. I wonder if there will be much interest in the Oscars given the movies that were nominated (none of which were huge boxoffice successes).
Keira Knightley in “Pride & Prejudice” is up for best actress, though I thought her performance was just OK (her smile got on my nerves and so did her laugh). “War of the Worlds” and “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” only received award nominations in minor categories. That’s it, that’s all I’ve seen.
