ABC is going to offer four of their shows online for free in May. I think that shows that they are being smart for a change. I can’t believe how dumb these people are not making their content available on the Internet. They would increase their viewership tremendously since it would be world-wide and they would increase their world-wide distribution since those watch it on the Internet will tell those without the Internet about it and then they will start demanding it from their broadcast providers. I bet it even would increase DVD sales.
Not to mention that their ad revenue goes up:

The offerings will also include current episodes of “Commander in Chief,” as well as the entire season of “Alias,” and will be available through June.
The shows, being offered by the Disney-ABC Television Group, will be supported by advertisers, including AT&T Inc., Ford Motor Co., Procter & Gamble Co., Toyota Motor Corp. and Unilever PLC, among others.

I think it is incredibly dumb of CBS to make their episodes available for $2.50 each. I might be tempted for a $1.00 but not $2.50. Their content is just not worth it to me. They should just sell ads and offer it for free like ABC.
