I swear this most be a Clinton or Carter appointee. I’ll find out and let you know:
A federal judge issued a temporary restraining order Monday barring the Navy from using a type of sonar, allegedly harmful to marine mammals, during a Pacific warfare exercise scheduled to begin this week.
[…]
U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper wrote in her order that the plaintiffs “have shown a possibility that RIMPAC 2006 will kill, injure, and disturb many marine species, including marine mammals, in waters surrounding the Hawaiian Islands.”
We are at war and fish are more important than a prepared military? Sometimes I feel like I’m Alice in Wonderland. Al-Qaida must be so please with our judiciary, it will make it much easier to fight us when we tie the militaries hands behind their back.

Updated to add: So, I was right (of course) and it was Clinton and guess who recommended her? No, not Barbara Boxer (that would have been good) no, it was Dianne Feinstein:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein has reportedly recommended that the president nominate Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Florence-Marie Cooper to McLauglin’s seat.
Now, here’s the point, can we really afford to let another Clinton pick our federal judges? Judges who jeopardize our lives for the sake of fish.
