I’m having such a hard time with the Carnival theme this week and I’m the one that picked it! I thought it would be easy to blog about “What I love about blogging” but everything I write sounds either trite or involves a long, involved backstory that I don’t really feel like writing and I’m sure others would be bored reading. I’m thinking about not participating this week at all.

And while I’m complaining, it’s hot! Really hot! I was trying to get my daughters out of the house today because we were going to meet their Grandfather at the mall and we had to run errands before we met him. While I was waiting I was sweating so much that my shirt was wet. Stopping for gas was awful, I felt so sorry for the attendant. I couldn’t believe how oppressive the heat was. We have air conditioning only in one room of the house and the other parts of the house are unbearable. We either stay in the family room or I take the kids to the mall or Barnes and Nobles. Forget about the beach, it’s unbearable when it’s hot!
But thank the Lord for the air conditioner, my husband just told me that my sister-in-law is staying in her basement because they only have an air conditioner in her bedroom. At least I have somewhere to go to beat the heat, what about those who don’t? I blessed, even in the heat.
