I was right, it took me another hour but I finally finished it and went out to my car to print it. Yeah, I had to schlep my printer from home and borrowed my husband’s AC adapter because of course mine is missing. (This morning when I borrowed it I thought I put it in my computer bag but when I checked to make sure I had it, I couldn’t find it. I went all over the house looking for it and finally had to give up. I went to the bathroom and there it was. As you can tell I had a really bad morning!)
I realized last night at 1:30 AM that I wasn’t going to finish before my 8:30 class this morning unless I stayed up all night. At 47, it’s really not a good idea to pull an all-nighter and then drive for hour to school, not to mention the type of paper I would produce if I edited it at 4:00 in the morning with no sleep. Though, I really didn’t get too much sleep because I was up again at 5:30.
Now, you might ask why do I wait to the last minute to do write the digest? Why not spend the month reading and writing daily? Did I spend too much of my time surfing the net or blogging? Well, I did try to read and write daily and I still had trouble. I can’t write unless I have to turn it in the next day. I don’t know why but I’m really slow and my brain doesn’t work unless I’m under a lot of pressure to produce. Oh well, I’m still going to keep trying because I don’t want to do this again (I say this after every digest).
