It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be but I couldn’t translate the first verse. When I turned my test in I noticed that others had the same problem. It was a short verse and if you didn’t know the main verb, it was difficult to translate the rest of the verse.
I have another Hebrew test in 3 weeks and there isn’t as much material (which is good because I wouldn’t have enough time to prepare for another 3 chapter Hebrew test). The next test will be on these verses:
1Sam 12:12-17
2Sam 7:10-16
2Kgs 17:7-23
2Chron 7:11-22, 36:15-23
Should be much easier. I’m hoping to do better on that test to offset this test.
But I’m going to have to squeeze in preparing for the test along with attending a wedding (actually it’s a 50th anniversary recommitment ceremony), a bar mitzvah, and my daughter turns 16 and we’re going out to dinner to celebrate. And I have an exegesis paper due the same day as well as outlining and noting the keywords and themes in Ruth-Esther. Not to mention a digest that is due the Tuesday after my Hebrew test.
When I leave seminary I will know that I have been tested through the fire 🙂
