It only took him…what?…4, 5 tries to finally get a descent spin on his gaffe. I wonder why it took him so long to play the faith card? Isn’t it the most obvious defense? And the slam on Clinton? Very good! Excellent attack!

“She’s running around talking about how this is an insult to sportsmen, how she values the Second Amendment, she’s talking like she’s Annie Oakley! Hillary Clinton’s out there like she’s on the duck blind every Sunday, she’s packin’ a six shooter! C’mon! She knows better. That’s some politics being played by Hillary Clinton. I want to see that picture of her out there in the duck blinds.”

She is going to be really ticked off! And it was particularly funny given the fact that she’s off drinking shots, throwing back beers and talking about hunting 🙂 You’ve go to love this campaign. And yeah, Obama I think you are out of touch if you don’t realize that when you allow Bush’s tax cuts to expire you aren’t just hitting wealthy Americans with a tax hike. The lowest tax bracket will go up 5%, married couples filling jointly will once again pay a penalty, and we will lose 50% of our child tax credit. So, yeah whenever you call the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, you’re out of touch.BTW, nice job getting those white people on stage.Update: I’ve added the comments about Clinton and here’s Clinton’s response:

For months, Barack Obama and his campaign have relentlessly attacked Hillary Clinton’s character and integrity by using Republican talking points from the 1990s. The shame is his.Sen. Clinton does know better — she knows better than to condescend and talk down to voters like Senator Obama did. Senator Obama’s outburst won’t change the fact that he has embraced his characterization of the millions of Americans who live in small towns.
