OK, Obamanites, what the heck does Obama mean by this:
“We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set,” he said. “We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well funded.”
The context of the quote from part of a speech on getting people involved in serving their country. I can’t figure out what he intends to do with a civilian “security force” that will met the needs of our national security that the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, CIA, FBI, NSA and Homeland Security can’t meet. Does he plan to send them to fight in other countries or are they intended for here (which is a pretty scary thought)? I’m interested hearing from those who have been complaining about paramilitary being used in Iraq.
And talk about expensive! You Obamanites who have been complaining about the amount of money we spend on the military complex, what do you think of this? He wants to fund his new group at the same level as the military. Surely this will mean more deficit spending which should irk the Obamanites who have been complaining about how much the war is going to cost our children.
*sigh* Just when I write off McCain, Obama says something totally insane. I feel like a ping pong ball this election cycle.
