So, the MSM can’t get over their obsession with Obama’s flag pin. A NY Times blogger posts some suggestions of other label pins Obama can wear as a substitute. I thought Daniel Young’s suggestion was pretty appropriate. A mirror flag pin:

“Obama tries to reflect the better nature of the country,” says Young. “He opposes the mentality that insists on a personal display of the national flag as a sign of patriotism, but surrenders to political expediency and begins exploiting the flag. His mirror begins to show the things his pollsters tell him are important to undecided voters.”

Empty the flag of meaning (the stars and stripes representing the unity of the nation) and replace it with whatever the voter sees when they look at Obama.
