Well, it’s official, Biden is Obama’s VP. Evidently the press found out before supporters, they got their text at 3:00am EST after it was leaked to the press.McCain already has a new ad up:McCain’s campaign is pretty much on it’s game, isn’t it.BTW, for those of you who can’t figure out why the Republicans are so happy with this pick, here’s a clue.Update: This analysis by Fournier of Obama’s pick for VP is spot on. You know the only reason someone like Biden is picked is because he brings national security and foreign policy experience to the ticket. Obama’s selection is an admission that what McCain has been saying about him is true, he lacks the experience to be commander and chief and he needed someone like Biden to add it to the ticket. A lightweight president with a more experienced VP…hmmmmmm….this seems oddly familiar, doesn’t it?Another Update: Um…if you’ve made lobbyists one of your major campaign issues and you’ve been using it to attack your opponents, why would you select a VP who has been accepting contributions from lobbyists for years and whose own son is a lobbyist? It’s looking like Obama just lost this as a campaign issue.
