I think this statement makes it clear that the Democrats will not do anything if Iran acquires a nuclear weapon:

“Israel will have to reconcile itself with the nuclearization of Iran,” Army Radio quoted Biden as telling the unnamed officials.
“It’s doubtful if the economic sanctions will be effective, and I am against opening an additional military and diplomatic front.”

I think Biden made it clear to Israel that if Obama is elected, Israel better strike first after the election or they may not get the support of America after January (for a strike).
I think that it’s helpful to know that when the Democrats say they support sanctions and talks that they know they won’t work.
BTW, this doesn’t mean that Biden isn’t pro-Israel:

“I am a Zionist. You don’t have to be a Jew to be a Zionist,” adding that “Israel is the single greatest strength that America has in the Middle East,”

I think that he’s just giving them a realistic assessment of the intentions of the Democrats.
