The Chinese will be driving in Hummers while we’ll be driving tin cans!

General Motors has reached a preliminary agreement for the sale of its Hummer brand of large sport utility vehicles and pickup trucks to a machinery company in western China with ambitions to become a carmaker, a person familiar with the Chinese government approval process said Tuesday.

So, the big question is if they can import them in 2016 when Obama’s new fuel economy standard is 35 mpg. Will we still be able to get our gas guzzling big American automobiles and trucks if they are imported from another country? Ironic that we’ll be getting our American cars from China.
