The Pope hasn’t supported the Iraq war so why pick on a Catholic church? They say for publicity:

Six Iraq war protesters disrupted an Easter Mass on Sunday, shouting and squirting fake blood on themselves and parishioners in a packed auditorium.
Three men and three women startled the crowd during Cardinal Francis George’s homily, yelling “Even the Pope calls for peace” as they were removed from the Mass by security guards and ushers.
One Mass attendee, Mike Wainscott of Chicago, yelled at the anti-war protesters.
“Are you happy with yourselves?” he said. “There were kids in there. You scared little kids with your selfish act. Are you happy now?”

I’m not buying it, I think they did it not just to protest the war but because of a hatred of the Catholic church.
And btw, what do these protesters think will be the response of those who hear about it? Do they honestly think that Catholics don’t know that the Pope doesn’t support the war? Or that those who support the war will be swayed by their actions? Or are they just hungry for their 15 minutes of fame? I agree with Mike Wainscott, they are selfish in trying to hijack the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for their own purposes.
