Actually I think this is a good idea, I wouldn’t mind spending $7 for a fresh pillow and blanket that I can take home with me:
JetBlue Airways said Monday that it would sell a pillow and blanket set for $7 on flights of two hours or more. The set, which passengers can take home, includes a 10-by-12 inch pillow and a fleece blanket, which fit into a carrying case.
The kits also come with a $5 coupon for Bed Bath & Beyond.

“Replacing our old, recycled pillows and blankets with this state-of-the-art, high-quality take-home kit is an eco-conscious, health-conscious and customer-conscious decision,” Brett Muney, JetBlue’s general manager for product development, said in a statement.
It’s much smarter to charge for a blanket and pillow than water as another US Airways did.
I love JetBlue! I love their wide seats, plenty of leg room, free satellite TV for every seat and the fact that they don’t have a first class section means you can use the bathroom in the front of the plane. The only problem with the airline is that it’s at the very end of the Newark concourse so it takes f o r e v e r to get to it and it takes f o r e v e r to get your luggage (though last year was much better than when we went in 2001).
