Guess more than one tax cheater was too much to offer the American public:
Tom Daschle has withdrawn his name from nomination for the post of Health and Human Services secretary, USA TODAY’s David Jackson reports. That word comes directly from Daschle himself, via a statement the White House just released.
In that statement, the Democrat and former senate majority leader says he does not want to be “a distraction. The focus of Congress should be on the urgent business of moving the president’s economic agenda forward.”
I bet this guy wishes he’d waited a day to publish his opinion piece.
