I just got a speeding ticket on the way to seminary. Anyone traveling on the PA Turnpike might want to stay a few miles under the limit because I was not going as fast as the State Trooper said I was (I asked him if he were sure that it was me going that fast). What makes you nuts is that people were passing me and he pulls me over!
And what makes this all so annoying is that I was in a good mood this morning. While I was waiting for the cop to write me the ticket I said, “God, you are really wearing down my good mood here!” But I remembered what Paul said “I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content” (Philippians 4:11) and then I felt a little better.
