It’s a new year. But my same face stares at me from the mirror. My same problems seem to still be with me. The news certainly didn’t get any better. I made no resolutions – I know myself better than that! The government is in a mess. COVID is still with us. Just because we turn our calanders over doesn’t mean things are going to magically change for the better.

So what is new? The Bible says “His mercies are new every morning”!Not just each year are they new but very single morning. We can count on that like the sunrise.

And we need God’s mercy everyday. I am so glad it is available to me – as much as I need, when I need it.
