Mr. Fowler is a member and deacon of our South Carolina Special Gathering located in Walterboro.  A life-time resident of Walterboro, Fowler is also a member of The Special Gathering choir. 

A wheelchair or demon or anything on earth can’t stop you from serving Jesus. That’s what I learned from Frank Howard.

When he invited me into his room one day in 2009, he shared his testimony with me.

When I saw and heard about his love for Jesus, I didn’t see a man sitting in a wheelchair. I saw a man standing tall for Jesus full of courage and strength.

Even though he was quiet while we were around, that time we shared together, I could sense his spirit. He was shouting for joy about how much he loves Jesus.

I admire men and women of God who don’t let their problems get in the way of their serving Jesus.

This was written in memory of Frank who went to be with the Lord in May 2011.  Frank served as a Bible teacher in Special Gathering, a ministry within the mentally challenged community,  for more than 10 years.
