This is the face of one happy grandpa.  Some of these children he hasn’t seen for a year and a half and it has been quite a year for Grandpa.  In March he started noticing that his hip hurt.  It took until the end of June for him to get a complete hip replacement, then weeks of therapy.  By the first of November he had also had a complete knee replacement and now has more therapy.

These three are our youngest grandchildren.  Jesse and Joshua are four years old and Erin is five.  They just had to crawl all over Grandpa, even if it hurt him a little.  Erin played nurse and helped pull the strips off his incision.

It will be months before we see these little guys again, so we spent lots of time making special memories.  According to Psalm 127:3, ” Children are the heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is His reward.”  I can truly say that our children and grandchildren are a blessing from God.  They bring so much joy into our lives; not only at holidays, but every time we see them.

Our lives are so full of love and happiness because of our family.  When we go through the “floods and fires” of life, they bring us comfort and courage.  The memories we make when we see them, carry us through to their next visit.  Thank you Jesus for each of them!
