This is Joshua and Jesse after their afternoon at the ice skating rink. They were “too pooped to participate”, in anything except a nice long nap. I think we all wanted to take a nap, but only the little ones were allowed this luxury.
The only time these guys were quiet was when they were sleeping, so we all got a break from their high energy activities. These are the only kids I have ever met that had to bounce off the sofa to the floor and back again, just to color a picture. I have met many children in my years of teaching, but these guys needed to be tied to a chair, just to eat a meal.
Oh, how I wish there was a way to transmit some of that energy into my body. We can put a man on the moon and discover cures for many diseases, but not a way to infuse that child like energy into this old body. Now that’s a puzzle to me.
Here are 6 of my little guys. I love them all dearly and don’t get to see them nearly often enough. Aren’t they precious? I think God looks on us with that same unconditional love, only multiplied a million times.
Next week I promise to quit bragging about my family and our wonderful Thanksgiving/Christmas. I may have to try very hard to re-focus my thoughts, but try I will. I hope you enjoyed this private look into my family affairs.
