Have you ever had a day when everything that could go wrong did?  Well, I have had that kind of week.  My husband had knee surgery a few days ago and is in a rehab center now.  He probably will be gone another week.  That means all the household duties fall on me, which isn’t too bad except for garbage detail. Lugging that heavy can down our inclined driveway always makes my back ache.

Then I just find out that both of our boys and their families are coming home for Thanksgiving, and to do their Christmas exchange the next day.  I am quite excited about seeing all them, 10 extras total. However, I don’t have my Christmas shopping done and I have all that wrapping to do before Thanksgiving.  Oh, my goodness!

Rich is resting in rehab and I’m running around like a chicken with their head cut off.  I have seen this for real and it is not a pretty sight.  I have all the shopping, wrapping, cooking, and cleaning to do, plus I go to see Rich for about 2 hours every day.  I get tired just thinking about it.

Then, to top it off, I fell flat on my face about 3 o’clock in the morning yesterday, and now I can hardly move.  I think I pulled every muscle in my body.  It took me almost an hour to get myself off the floor and into my chair again.  No use in calling for help, there was  no one else here but my two cats.

Wow!  I feel better just telling someone about my trying week.  But, the truth is God has been with me through it all and He has covered me with His love. He tells us in II Corinthians 12:9, ” My grace is sufficient for thee; for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”

Tonight my missionary friend came over so I could repair his photo boards for his presentation at church on Sunday, so I spent about 4 hours on that.  Praise God!  I am very tired, but I know God has been with me all the way.
