bob nylen.jpgBeliefnet’s co-founder, Bob Nylen, died Tuesday.
Bob and I connected in 1998. I was an editor with an idea, in search of a business partner for this unorthodox notion of starting a print magazine about religion. He was crazy enough to think the notion had some merit. We eventually turned it into a plan for a website and launched in December 1999.
I was extraordinarily blessed to have met Bob, a wise, skillful, brave (a decorated Vietnam Vet) and, most important, funny man.
Beliefnet certainly wouldn’t exist without Bob.
