Simone Biles might have seven Olympic medals, but her latest piece of jewelry is the most important. Biles and Green Bay Packers safety Jonathan Owens announced their marriage on social media. Biles captioned a set of photos of herself and the 27-year-old footballer, saying, “I do. Officially Owens.”
In the pictures, you can see the couple exchanging vows in what looks like a courthouse wedding. Biles wore a tiered white gown for her special day, while Owens wore a tan suit. Owens shared similar photos on his Instagram page, including more behind-the-scenes images of the couple saying, “I do.” He captioned his post, “My person forever,” with a ring and heart emoji, adding two hashtags: #TheOwens and #ItsOfficial.
Biles and Owens had a close encounter during a 2019 Texans game, but they officially met on the dating app Raya in March of 2020, with Biles making the first move. She later made the relationship with Owens official months afterward, posting two pictures with him on her Instagram page. The images showed the couple snuggled beside each other, with Owens kissing Biles. Biles captioned the post, “It’s just us.”
The following month, Owens posted two pictures with Biles on Instagram, writing, “Now you rockin with a real one.” After two years of dating, Biles and Owens then announced their engagement via a series of Instagram photos shared last February.

The NFL player popped the question under a gazebo in Houston, Texas, with an oval-cut diamond ring featuring a diamond-encrusted band designed by jeweler ZoFrost. “THE EASIEST YES,” Biles captioned a slideshow of photos from the special moment. “I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you; you’re everything I dreamed of and more! Let’s get married, FIANCE @jowens_3.”
Biles shared several photos of her heavenly-themed wedding shower held at The Juliana in Houston Heights with family and friends on her Instagram Story ahead of her nuptials.
The new bride also celebrated her “boujee” bachelorette party in Belize earlier this year and marked the moment with a pair of light-wash jeans with the name “Mrs. Owens” emblazoned across the back pockets. The 26-year-old gymnast has won 19 gold medals in world championships.
Owens signed with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent in 2018 and played on their practice squad. He joined the Texans in 2019 and has played in 31 NFL games, including all 17 of Houston’s games last year. He signed with the Green Bay Packers in in 2023.
