Dak Prescott and his girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos have announced that they are expecting their first child together, a baby girl. Ramos shared photos from a maternity photoshoot with the caption, “A little bit of Heaven sent down to Earth. Our immeasurable blessing. I cannot wait to raise a strong, confident, beautiful baby girl with you,” while tagging Prescott in the post. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback commented on the post saying, “How thankful I am to do this with you can’t be explained! God makes no mistakes and nothing is coincidental and for that, I thank Him Daily! I love you, and y’all can always count on me. Let’s do this Mama.”

Prescott is having one of the best seasons of of his NFL career, and he credits it to being “dad strength.” In an interview Prescott said, “It’s dad strength is why I’m playing that way. Super exciting, it really is…I’m blessed. Thankful.” He continued, “Everyone knows what my mom means to me. Being able to raise a little girl, I’m excited for the challenges. It’s not going to be easy, especially being my daughter — or being a Prescott — but I’m looking forward to every bit about it.” Prescott’s mother, Peggy, passed away 10 years ago from colon cancer. She has been Prescott’s inspiration throughout his football career. The quarterback revealed that their family and friends have known about the pregnancy for quite some time, but Sarah couldn’t hide it any more. “I think ultimately, the main reason, was yes, she was tired of hiding it in pictures, I guess,” Prescott said. “Now the bump is a little bit too big and hard to hide.”
Prescott, who has had an outstanding season with the Cowboys credits his faith and family for his successful career. “You can definitely say it would have been harder earlier in my career,” Prescott said. “It comes with growth, with growing up. It comes with life…I can’t imagine, honestly, being in this position, being blessed like this earlier in my career. God’s timing is everything. But also, I credit Sarah Jane in the sense of allowing me to focus on what I want to, especially knowing what this means to me. That’s who deserves a lot of credit for me being able to balance this.”
