Actress and committed Christian Candace Cameron Bure has shared a touching tribute to her late father-in-law, Vladimir Bure, who recently passed away at the age of 73.

“Our hearts are broken as we grieve the loss of Val’s dad, Vladimir Bure. I loved this man so very much. To me, he represented not only the gift of life (my husband) that I am forever grateful for but one of strength, dedication, motivation, resilience, willpower, and love. In my mind, he was the epitome of each of those words, a little bit superhuman in some way,” Candace wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post.

The NHL confirmed that Vladimir, the father of Candace’s husband, Valeri, passed away on September 3rd.

In her Instagram post, Candace celebrated Vladimir’s remarkable accomplishments in sports. Vladimir was a four-time Olympic medalist in swimming and a two-time Stanley Cup-winning coach for the New Jersey Devils, she noted. The post was accompanied by photos of Vladimir, including one from his swim meets and an image from the NHL honoring his memory.

Vladimir Bure’s Olympic career was distinguished by four medals in swimming events—one at the 1968 Mexico City Games and another three at the 1972 Munich Games. He also served as a fitness consultant for the New Jersey Devils from 1999 to 2010, during which the team clinched the Stanley Cup in both 2000 and 2003.

Candace also shared two personal photos alongside her father-in-law: one capturing them in a warm embrace and another of them dancing together.

“He was a proud father, grandfather, husband, and dedicated coach. Most of all, I know how much he loved his family. Thank you for praying for all of the Bure family as we grieve ❤‍????. We love you, Vladimir ♥, and you’ll forever be in our hearts,” Candace concluded.

As believers, we find comfort in knowing that Vladimir’s legacy of love, strength, and dedication will continue to inspire those he left behind. Let us keep the Bure family in our prayers during this difficult time.
