Chris Pratt and wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, have officially become parents of three as they welcomed their third child, a baby boy, to the world.

“We are overjoyed to announce the birth of our son, Ford Fitzgerald Schwarzenegger Pratt,” the couple expressed in a joint Instagram post on Monday, November 11. “Mama and baby are doing well and Ford’s siblings are thrilled by his arrival. We feel so blessed and grateful.”

The name is seemingly a nod to the late former President John F. Kennedy, whose middle name was Fitzgerald. Katherine, the daughter of Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger, is JFK’s great-niece.

Their announcement included a baby blue infographic indicating that their new baby boy arrived on Friday, November 8.

Pratt and Schwarzenegger, who exchanged vows in June 2019 after a year of dating, are already proud parents to daughters Lyla and Eloise, born in August 2020 and May 2022, respectively. Chris Pratt is also a dad to son Jack, whom he shares with ex-wife Anna Faris. Pratt and Faris were married from 2009 to 2018 and welcomed Jack in August 2012.

The news of Schwarzenegger’s pregnancy surfaced in June, but the couple chose not to confirm it publicly at that time. A month later, Pratt shared an Instagram photo showcasing Schwarzenegger’s baby bump.

Greatest party planner in history! Pratt captioned a picture of Schwarzenegger beaming in pink gingham overalls and a white T-shirt, surrounded by balloons, a bounce house, and other party essentials.

Schwarzenegger also posted photos from the celebration, posing with a white rabbit and proudly showing her growing belly. “It isn’t a party without a bunny appearance ?,” she wrote. Before this, she had kept her pregnancy under wraps with loose clothing and strategic camera angles.

After welcoming her second daughter with Pratt, Schwarzenegger revealed to Us Weekly that the couple was open to having more children. “I come from a big family, so I love the idea of having a lot of kids around and a big family,” she said in October 2022. “Whatever God has in His plan for us is what we’ll do.” She also expressed gratitude for her mother, Maria Shriver, for her guidance in motherhood.

“It’s all a balancing act,” she noted. “I feel really lucky to have an amazing role model in my mom, and just being able to see how she balances it all. Learning from her, bouncing ideas off her, and knowing that family time is the most important.”

In April 2020, Schwarzenegger shared with Us and other reporters how she and Pratt nurture a strong relationship, emphasizing that she values communication. “I got married last June, and just communication constantly is, like, really the most amazing gift you can have, I think, in a partnership and in a relationship, she mentioned. I don’t like to go to bed angry. And we both are the same way.”
