There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love. 1 John 4:18
A lot of people live in fear (the scared kind). Sure, we need to fear (the respect kind) but we don’t need to fear (the scared kind) in our Christian walk.
The word “perfected” is also the word “matured”. So this can say:
There is no being af in love, but mature love throws out scaredyness. For being scared has to do with punishment, and who ever is scared has not been matured in love.
Are you living scared of God. That’s not what He wants, much like we don’t want our children to “love” us because they are scared not to.
