Wear the Ring of the New!

Cosmos bloom vivid on our Boulevard of sweet,

The wheel of Moons turns round, journey’s end marries journeys begun,

This road leads on from yes to yes.

 

A year, a world, a life, honied and new, freshmade from the old:

The recipe is simple.

Paper water trumpet vine,

fandango of fuchsia.

A musical note, sustained in the key of Bee.

 

Lift the veil, we’ll shine into kiss and bless.

Let’s borrow the blue from a canopy of sky,

Braid our DNA into the Fibonacci of sunflowers.

 

Everything starts now, and here: borne on a riff of wind:

to seed is the whole thing!

To serve and conserve is the real work: make a holy jam of berries,

Have a crush on grapes!

 

Corn tassels at the speed of happiness. Tomatoes practice the economy of blush:

Such a deal!

We’ll make a cottage industry of beauty, give the butterflies a raise, and retire

to a bed of zinnias.

 

At the heart of garden, sister to sister, frijoles, calabacitas;

Shhh, the chisme is Ripen, whispered ear to ear!

The secret’s out:

Flowers big as dinner plates!

Que viva, L’Chaim!

Another year in paradise!

 

It’s about love, as ever, we’re deeply engaged,

Each grey hair of the Beloved suddenly enchanting!

And the whole Mishpocha together !

 

Imagine: our own life! Ours!

Right here! At home, in this world –

How Divine!
