Sometimes it is hard to tell whether it is dark or light outside or in our lives. This photo was actually taken during the afternoon, but I think it highlights the fact that what appears dark at first may actually be where we find hidden light. We can spend our lives looking outward toward the the places we think light is most apparent, but we might miss the fact that the light we need really comes from inside.
Perhaps we can look at our situations and try and see the flipside of the situation — where there is darkness, find even a little piece of light and focus on it. I know it’s hard. I’ve found myself trying time and again to find the light in a situation where it only feels dark. But maybe that is where we will find the peace we seek. Light in the darkness…
