Heart of IndustrySometimes it is hard to see past the chains and iron that can form on your heart when you have been hurt. It’s hard to open your heart once again. I like the idea in this photo that a heart may have iron around it, but it remains open enough to let light through. Everyone experiences hardships and things that make you want to protect your heart from future hurts, but you need to keep opening it up, even if it’s not all the way at first, but enough to accept the beginning of light.

In your prayer this week, try to notice where the iron is and where you can find an opening. The openings can bring you closer to the completely open heart of God.
