Sometimes it is necessary to encounter wide open spaces – both around the world and inside our own hearts. If we can honor the wide open spaces, we have a chance to find peace. With so many distractions and things weighing on us, it can be easier to breathe with a little more space.
There are certain wide open landscapes I prefer – ones that include the sunset, water and warmth. I find myself closing down and wanting to hibernate in winter landscapes though I try to recognize what beauty it holds. I notice how many times the landscapes outside can reflect what is inside. Maybe we just need the breathing room to assist in rearranging our landscape.
