It is so easy to get caught up in our daily things to do, in wondering who will pick up the kids or the dry cleaning. There are bills to be paid and cars to be maintained. There are so many things on our plate that it is hard to even consider spending time with God at certain points in our lives. We don’t want this to be true, but it seems it is sometimes.
We do need to spend time looking inward, examining our faith life. Yet we also need to remain aware that God already knows what is on the horizon and wants us to keep our eyes looking ahead. We can’t ignore the horizon for too long or we will miss beautiful things. What do you see in your far-off spiritual life?
