Still only able to get a few minutes recorded before the video signal cuts off.
I’m back in Saigon after a few days’ retreat at Truc Lam Monastery in Dalat, about 8 hours from here on a hot and bumpy bus. Truc Lam is a very old school Zen temple practicing “Silent Illumination” Zazen … the very root of Shikantaza. They awake at 3AM, then sit for unbroken 2 and 3 HOUR!! periods without moving a bit, not even for Kinhin or to scratch an itch. More about that when I can.
It was pretty tough on the backside!
