And, she said again, like a scratched CD, go read Tim Drake:
The pope will board a ship near the Rodenkirchen Bridge with a select group of journalists (not me). A second ship, filled with 160 journalists (this group includes this writer) will also set sail near the first ship. I’ve been told that Brother Philip, a Franciscan Friar of Renewal has been invited on the pope’s ship. His brother friars are calling him, "God’s chosen."
The pope’s boat will then embark to a point on the river facing the Poll Rhine Meadows, a large grassy area. The area closest to the river is fenced off. There, Pope Benedict will address the crowd. Wondering what he might say: consult Luke 5: 2-4.
After his speech, the boat will cross the river, arriving at the quay near the Hohenzollern Bridge. There, the Holy Father will visit the Cathedral and deliver an address on Roncalli Square
EWTN also has a photo gallery going. What the thumbs mean…I’m not so sure.
