We used to love to go to the Bay Area Renaissance Faire in Largo, and I always noted the same thing. Well, there would be a blustering bishop roaming around and a drunken friar or two, but, as Jacob notes, it was mostly Pagan/Faux Celtic/Blessed Be on the spiritual side.  Wouldn’t have that problem, I imagine, if such a thing (in this case, a Medieval Fair) would be co-sponosred by a Catholic parish, as Mark Shea notes.
