Theme set for WYD ’08 in Sydney:

The Vatican has announced the theme for the 23rd World Youth Day celebration, which will take place July 15- 20, 2008, in Sydney, Australia.

The theme for the event is taken from the Acts of the Apostles (1:8): "You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be my witnesses."

Papal ceremonies for the next few months set – including a communal reconciliation service (a papal first). Interesting. Strikes me the pope wants to show how it should be done.

Pope will probably viisit Poland in late May.
