In the post-trip fog of last week – the PA trip, not the Roma trip – I shamefully forgot to mention that I’d met a blog reader at the talk – The always witty and sharp Jen Ambrose. Do go check out her blog – she’s recuperating from surgery, so keep her in your prayers, too.

She remarks in another post that she finished reading Mauriac’s Vipers’ Tangle, which reminds me that I should start blogging on the Loyola Classics series again…and I will! Jen actually does an excellent summary of the book – she says, "no gratuitous redemption" – excellent, and very true.
