Now, this 15th Station of the Cross – the Resurrection – isn’t brand new, although it’s being played that way in some places. Back fifteen or more years ago, it started being suggested and used. I believe it was inspired by something John Paul II said or did, but I’m not sure . (Not to be confused with John Paul II"s alternative, Scripture-based Way of the Cross, upon which Michael and I based this.)

But I’m telling you, the parish of St. Margaret of York in a suburb of Cincinnati has done something really new here. They’ve added a 15th station to the Stations in their church building, which were taken from another, older church, built in 1848. So we can assume that those stations reflect a traditional look.

Here’s the new Station:

Wow. Now, Rich Leonardi wastes no time in wondering about the inspiration for this – and comes up with a good possibility.

For contrast, take a look at this rather interesting sidebar of sorts to the story in the Enquirer bringing this to our attention. It’s a slide show of the Stations from around the area – some contemporary, others more classical and all what this one is not: serious.
