John Miller was kind enough to link me from The Corner, and asked in a note about DVC parodies. There have been several (although not nearly enough) – do an Amazon search for "Da Vinci Code" and "spoof" or "parody" will get you some. The one I’ve skimmed and thought was funny for its first few pages, at least, was called The Asti Spumante Code  – full of meaningless cliff-hangers and solemn explanations of nothing in particular:

Crack unfolded his impressive perfectly toned six foot two frame from the back of the car and stood for a second, stretching his weary limbs. He had always hated travelling in cars ever since, as a boy, he had made a trip from one town to another.

And so on.

I also just ran across this, an extremely promising forthcoming piece of cinematic art. There’s nothing there yet but the title, and some links to some press – but the title itself is enough.
